7 Cleaning tips That Will Save You Years Of Your Life

Nobody likes cleaning but it has to be done at least once a week, like it or not.

But, getting your household cleaning done fast and efficiently by learning a few tricks will at least make that cleaning a little bearable. Here are seven cleaning tips or hacks that are about to make your life so much easier.

1. Use Aluminum Foil to Scrub Off Baked-On Food

Roasts are not only easy to make but make probably the best meals in the world. The only downfall is cleaning the baking dishes after, not anymore and this is why.

If you have remnants of your casserole stuck to your baking dish, scrunch up a clean piece of foil into a ball, then use it with few drops of dishwashing liquid to scrub glass cookware clean.

2. Use a Dryer Sheet to Get Rid of Soap Residue

Don’t toss out that used dryer sheet. Sprinkle it with a few drops of water, then use it to wipe away built-up soap residue on your shower doors. It works wonders on scummy surfaces.

3. Use a Rubber Glove to Pick Up Fur

Pick your pet’s fur up quickly and easily by running a damp rubber glove over the surface. Any hair will cling to the glove, not the upholstery.

4. Use a Lemon to Freshen a Cutting Board

Lemon juice will work magic on food-stained cutting boards made of light wood or plastic.

Slice a lemon in half, squeeze its juice onto the soiled surface, rub, and let sit for 20 minutes before rinsing.

Your cutting board will be stain-free and smell lemony fresh.

5. Clean bottom of iron

To clean the bottom of the iron, sprinkle salt on the ironing board and iron back and forth.
6. Clean your BBQ

Who doesn’t love a BBQ with friends and family, food is always a hit but cleaning the grills is a bullet we all want to dodge. Not anymore. Remove the grates apply some oil and sprinkle some coarse salt. On the side have some potatoes cut into graspable pieces. Use these cut out potatoes to scrub the gunk off and finally rinse with water.

Simple and easy.

7. Reviving your plastic containers

No matter how hard you rub and wash your plastic container, it still leaves residue behind. How can you get rid of this? Simple! Take your rinsed container outside and place it in the sunlight. Squeeze some fresh lemon juice into the container put on the lid and shake it around. Then turn the container upside down and leave it in the sunshine for a couple of hours. Make sure you leave it outside until the stains begin to disappear.
