Summer romances

Travelling and Love go hand in hand, a vast majority of us would like to say the reason they travel is to find themselves but to be truly honest we also travel to find new, exciting romance. Traveling romance falls into two categories; a passing fling or true love that will last maybe forever.

Romance is easier to find while on a holiday because during a holiday we are constantly meeting new people. Some are interesting, some nice and others just loveable. Everybody has a fling story, which become nothing more than a travel romance or could flourish into someone who remains by your side.

So who are these 7 types of men you’ll fall for, some possibilities are:

The Boy

Oh yes, the boy! It seems the boys are on a permanent vacation with their buddies and are typically after one thing: They just want to get in and get out, no fuss. These young boys are after their first experience into manhood. They’re after lust and excitement without the commitment. However, the boy tends to keep the deep emotions out of the way, so don’t expect him to show up for more.

The Lover

Oh, the lover. These are the modern Casanovas; they know how to sweep you off your feet. They know the sounds and the words you wish to hear. They are true connoisseur of all things of love and women. They are sensual and sexy and make you desire them. The next thing you know, you are naked and tangled in passion, as the lover lays claim to body parts you did not even know existed.

The Hostel Worker

He seems adventurous and easygoing, and soon, you’ll finding yourself making unnecessary visits to the front desk just to strike up conversation. He is the guy who was travelling like you and decided to take a break and work for a while. You instantly connect and the next thing he’s making passionate love to you for the duration of your stay. Once your holiday is over so is your little, steamy romance. He has to travel some more to discover himself and so do you.

The Local

It is inevitable: The local guide will double as a guide and later inevitably becomes your lover. You might never quite know how to pronounce his name and even not speak the same language but on a holiday LOVE knows no barrier. You will probably have one of the hottest flings ever.

The Guy With The Guitar

This one is pretty self-explanatory, but there is ALWAYS a guy traveling with a guitar — always. He sits in the hostel’s lounge and strums away. His voice carries softly, like a lullaby. He’s you Romeo singing to you the promise of a love you’ll never forget.

The Scuba Instructor

It’s totally common to fall for your scuba instructor; usually he rocks a hard, beautiful body and is ridiculously good looking. His allure is his ability to win you over at first sight, he’s the type you usually think is not going to pay you attention but here he’s seen you the moment you walked in. Maybe it’s the way he gracefully glides you through the water, or the way he handles himself in the water— whatever the reason, the scuba instructor crush ends in a lot of nights on the beach.

The One Who Sticks

There are travel romances that result in finding the love of your life and these romances when we hear about them give us hope.  Like all great romances they happen when you least expect them and why not during your travel?

The beauty of traveling and love lies in the unknown; the unexpected and there are no rules except one maybe, live, love and be happy.

To wrap it up I just leave you with this line that Nicholas Sparks wrote in “The Notebook”:

“Summer romances end for all kinds of reasons. But when all is said and done, they have one thing in common: They are shooting stars — a spectacular moment of light in the heavens, a fleeting glimpse of eternity. And in a flash, they’re gone.”

Throw worries into the wind and live a bit, especially when you go travelling.
