Tips to improve your sleep

Looking for ways to improve your sleep?

Square eyed from exhaustion? Forget counting sheep – the revolutionary Four Corner Breathing Exercise is your free pass to improve your sleep. “By combining the use of outer and inner focal points, this can calm you quickly at any time,” says Lucy Jo Palladino, author of Find Your Own Focus Zone. Here’s how you can improve your sleep:

1. Find an object

Ideally one with four corners: a picture frame or even this page (anything but the TV). Focus on the upper-left-hand corner and inhale to a count of four.

2. Turn your gaze

Look to the upper-right-hand corner of the frame and hold your breath for a count of four.

3. Move your focus

Focus on the lower-right-hand corner of your chosen object. Exhale to the count of four.

4. Finally…

Turn your concentration to the lower-left-hand corner of the object. Tell yourself to relax, then smile. Repeat the exercise.
