Standing up and sitting back down without using your arms to assist you strengthens your stomach and buttocks muscles. No gym necessary.

  1. Turn your air-con on

Dropping your room’s temperature down will help you burn more calories as well as improve your insulin sensitivity. Apparently, your body then sees an increased in ‘healthy’ brown fat, which burns calories and fat, and helps stable blood sugar.

  1. Take the stairs

A two minutes stair climb will burn 21 calories. If you have to visit someone skip the lift and take the stairs, might as well workout while you are at it.
