10 Beauty Hacks Using Household Items

Before you head to an expensive cosmetic store and spend a small fortune on must-have beauty products check around your house. Chances are you have these typical items which can work wonders for you face and hair.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Don’t waste your hard earned cash on “dermatologist recommended” products to clear up your face. Apple cider vinegar is crazy cheap and a crazy awesome toner. It makes skin softer, decreases pores, creates a more even skin tone, and fades scars.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has so many benefits and uses, one being makeup remover. Forget the store bought “oil-free” remover and pick up a container of organic all-natural coconut oil. It cleanses the skin and removes stubborn eye makeup in a gentle way. It can also be used as body lotion.

Green Tea

Wake up with under eye bags? Before you decide to wear sunglasses all day or pile on the concealer, try this simple trick. Take two green tea bags and soak them in water. Put them in the freezer until they are cool and place on your eyes for a few minutes. The caffeine in the tea constricts the blood vessels, getting rid of the blue bags.

 Scotch Tape

Every girl knows the headache in getting the perfect winged eyeliner. It’s not straight, it’s not swooped enough, they are uneven, the complaints go on and on. For a quick and flawless cat eye use a small piece of tape as a stencil for your eyeliner. Place the tape at the corners of your eye at the perfect angle you want. Great little trick.

Baking Soda

Baking soda works miracles when it comes to your pearly whites. Sprinkle a little baking soda onto your toothpaste and brush your teeth. You will notice a huge difference immediately. Some toothpastes advertise baking soda as one of their ingredients but why spend the extra money when you can make your own at home for half the cost?

Brown Sugar

Want silky smooth skin? Add a little brown sugar to your body wash for a cheap scrub. The granules of sugar have great exfoliating powers that get rid of all the loose and dead skin.

Whitening Toothpaste

Love wearing dark nail polish, but hate what it does to your nails? If you suffer from dark polish addiction and have yellow nails that prove it, listen up! Use whitening toothpaste and a cheap toothbrush to scrub your nails beautiful again! Those drab yellow stains will come right off.

Conditioner

Shaving cream really does help when it comes to getting a close shave but it can be pretty expensive. If you run out of shaving cream, hair conditioner works just the same. Plus, it doubles as moisturizer! Your legs are going to feel so smooth and so soft! You might never go back to shaving cream again. I haven’t gone back, it gives you a very smooth shave.

Peppermint Oil

Want a sexy Angelina pout without forking over your life savings for expensive and risky collagen injections? Instead of pumping harmful chemicals into your luscious lips, try natural peppermint oil. Place a few drops of it in your favorite lip-gloss. You will definitely notice the difference.

Shaving Cream

Everyone loves tanning lotion or spray tan, but it is every light colored shirt’s worst nightmare. Makeup is so stubborn when it gets on your clothes. Washing it sometimes helps, but it’s no guarantee. Try rubbing the stain with a little shaving cream next time before you wash it. The makeup will come right off!
