5 Healthy Skin Habits that Take 5 Minutes or Less

There’s nothing worse than being greeted in the bathroom mirror by redness, pimples, blotches, or worse – the dreaded wrinkle.

But is it really worth spending loads of money and time applying masks, exfoliants, acid treatments, vitamin scrubs, etc…?

The answer is NO.

You’ve met those women before who seem to have a “gift” for radiant skin. Well, most of them don’t really. They just practice simple, healthy habits that keep their skin clear and clean the natural way.

These healthy skin habits are free or cost next to nothing (which is why you never hear about them in adverts), but they can transform your skin in as little as 5 minutes per day.

Incorporating these tips into your daily regimen is incredibly easy, and you’ll start to see results almost immediately.

Are you ready for visibly better skin in minutes? 5 healthy skin habits that take 5 minutes or less.

1. Microneedling with DermRoller

Microneedling is one of the hottest new trends in Australia for revitalized skin and anti-aging. It’s actually been around for a while, but if you’ve never heard of it, it’s because it’s pharma-free, it costs nothing, and it can be done at home in 5 minutes.

Microneedling is the practice of making microscopic punctures in your skin using tiny needles. These tiny, painless punctures are invisible to the eye, but they trigger your body’s natural healing response and rejuvenate your skin.

After just a few minutes of microneedling, your body boosts the production of elastin and collagen to heal your skin. In doing so, your body will also heal other skin conditions and can even turn back the clock on wrinkles, age lines, age spots, and more.

Microneedling has been shown to significantly improve the following conditions:

  • Acne and acne scarring
  • Stretch marks
  • Surgery and burn scarring
  • Wrinkles, age lines, and age spots
  • Pigmentation issues and blemishes
  • Large Pores
  • Rosacea
  • Hair loss

Studies have shown that microneedling improves skin significantly in just 2 sessions (5 minutes each).

All you need to microneedle at home is a microneedling tool.

DermRoller is Australia’s #1 microneedling tool. Designed by dermatologists, it comes in 10 different needle sizes so you can get the precise care that your skin needs.

With DermRoller, it only takes 5 minutes to visibly improve your skin with zero chemicals, creams, or pharmaceuticals.

2. Wash Your Face After a Workout

woman, skin,

Yes, we know it’s obvious that you should shower and wash u

p after going to the gym, but you should also take the time to properly wash your face.

Exercise is great for your skin, but when working out, it’s really easy to get covered in bacteria, especially if you’re using gym equipment. A shower and quick skin cream application won’t get those bacteria-laden oils out of your pores after they’ve expanded (during your sweaty gym sesh) and closed up again after your cool-down. You need to do a full face wash to clean those pores and prevent breakouts.

For those who do a proper face wash just once a day, post-workout is a good time to do it.

Those who wash in the morning and before bed will have to be careful not to overwash. If you work out in the morning or evening, we recommend doing your morning or evening face wash after your workout. Washing your face more than twice a day could lead to dryness and deplete your skin of its healthy natural oils.

3. Meditate

Woman, meditation, beach

Yeah, yeah. They say meditation is good for everything these days. But this skincare tip is actually backed by science.

In the Dermatology Online Journal researchers revealed that stress is directly correlated to skin aging.

More stress = worse skin. Get it?

Meditation is an ancient technique proven to reduce stress and boost mood. It does so much good for the body and mind, and now, we know that it helps your skin stay young too.

You don’t need to be a Burmese Yogi to benefit from meditation either. Author and UCLA School of Medicine professor Daniel J. Siegel, MD, has found that just three minutes of meditation a day can do the trick.

If you can spend 30 minutes applying a peel-off mask, you can definitely spare 3 for meditation. And who knows, after a few sittings, you might just be able to say goodbye to those face masks forever!
