A century of fashion in 100 seconds video

Did you believe it possible to feature 100 years of fashion in 100 seconds of video, possible and nicely done too.

It’s easy to forget how much fashion has changed in the past century when we’ve been wearing crop tops and jeans for what seem like forever now.

For the most of us we might have a glimpse of past fashion that our parents might have worn when looking at some of their old pictures. But try and picture in our minds the development of fashion over the past century is impossible.

After stumbling on this video online it seemed that the only logical thing to do was to share here with you the amazing life of fashion. This video celebrates 100 years of East London’s fashion in 100 seconds.

The short film, which was created in 2011 to announce the opening of a retail centre in the UK, starts us off in 1911, where a man and a woman dance together on a sidewalk wearing Edwardian Era clothing and move though the times until present time.

After dancing their way through the decades, the couple have worn dozens of outfits including flapper dresses, cloche hats, pageboy caps, fitted suits, army outfits, “Mad Men” era frocks, ’60 tie-dye and the skinny jeans of 2011.

Watch it and be delightfully amazed:
