Easy Microwave Omelette In Two Minutes

Love your egg breakfast but think you don’t have the time to prepare it every morning before work? This easy microwave omelette in two minutes will be a game changer.

In total, with preparation and cooking, it’ll take 2 minutes max. Anyone can spare a couple minutes even in the busiest of mornings to indulge in a delicious omelette.

What you put in your omelette varies according to your taste. Some like to add mushrooms, cheese, chopped capsicum or just have it plain.

Follow the steps below to make your fav microwave mug-omelette:


1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1 tablespoon chopped chives, optional

1/4 teaspoon dried herbs of your choice or dried thyme

1 tablespoon whole milk

2 large eggs

Pinch of salt

Pinch of freshly ground black pepper

1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese


In a large mug, combine the butter, chive, and herbs of your choice and microwave for 15 seconds, or until the butter has melted. Add the milk and eggs and whisk until frothy. Stir in the salt, pepper, and cheese. Microwave for another minute, until the egg is firm. Serve immediately.
