After years of uncertainty over whether Entourage the movie would go ahead, now it is filming, there is no stopping it. And we might even have the Entourage movie release date shortly.

What we didn’t realise was that shortly after filming began the movie was also given an official release date by Warner Brothers – 12th June 2015.

In a recent interview with MTV, Executive Producer (and man who inspired the series) Mark Wahlberg explained, ‘It took a long time to get it written, get it right, and we got a fantastic script. Warner Bros. is very excited about it. All the guys are excited. Getting everybody in the same place at the same time has been tough as well.’

The film will be directed by series creator Doug Ellin, who wrote the screenplay and who exec produced the series with Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson. Deals are starting to be made with Adrian Grenier, who played Chase, Kevin Connolly, who played his manager Eric “E” Murphy, Kevin Dillon, who played the actor’s brother Johnny Drama, Jerry Ferrara, who played their entrepreneurial driver Turtle, and Jeremy Piven, who played the show’s iconic type A talent agent Ari Gold.

The movie picks up where the final episode left off and features a number of big name extras including Kid Cudi who will play Ari’s assistant, Billy Bob Thornton, girl of the moment Emily Ratajkowski and cameos by Russell Wilson, Piers Morgan and no doubt Wahlberg himself.
