After nearly ten years, the cast of its original 2009 hit for “Zombieland” has reunited to make the follow-up Zombieland 2. Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin are returning to Zombieland 2, says The Hollywood Reporter. It appears that everyone is back for the sequel including director Ruben Fleischer.

Once again they will bash the undead together and delight fans all over the world.

The success of Zombieland put screenwriters Rhett Rees and Paul Wernick on Hollywood’s map. Ever since they became an in-demand screenwriting duo. They combined zombie action, intelligent comedy, quirky romance, and an extended Bill Murray cameo making Zombieland a huge success. This pair’s amazing screenwriting abilities and Ruben Fleischer’s first feature film surprisingly turned into a smash hit, earning $ 102.4 million on a $23.6 billion budget.

So much so that’s why they got the nod to write Deadpool and Deadpool 2 along with co-writer Ryan Reynolds. You guessed it, Rhett Rees and Paul Wernick are back for Zombieland 2.

Zombieland fans all over the world who have been hoping for a sequel, their wish is going to be granted very soon.

The film is set to begin production in January and will be released in October 2019, in time for the 10th anniversary of the original movie.

For those wondering about Bill Murray. There was no specific mention of Bill Murray, who had a drop-dead hilarious cameo as himself. It’ll sure be a shame if he doesn’t return.
