Funny first trailer for superhero comedy ‘Shazam’

The comic take on DC’s Shazam might be the answer to Deadpool but a little cleaner. Here’s a sneak peek of the funny first trailer for superhero comedy ‘Shazam’.

The trailer shows the journey of a foster kid, Billy Batson, the teenager who transforms into an adult superhero Shazam, portrayed by Zachary Levi. Batson gets his heroic attributes by saying the word Shazam, which is an acronym of a number of ancient Gods. Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury, the Gods whose first letters spell his name but also give him wisdom, strength, power, speed, courage and wisdom.

Wisdom is slow to kick in, only because Billy gets freaked out about his new superpowers and makes some major mistakes in the process making for a lot of funny moments.

Shazam is going to be a fun watch, full of laughable lines, bright colours and lots of silliness.

After watching the trailer you’ll see why Shazam is becoming one of the more anticipated films of 2019.
