Intense First Trailer For Independence Day: Resurgence

We always knew or hoped there would be another Independence Day movie.

Independence Day is a 1996 American epic science fiction disaster film co-written and directed by Roland Emmerich. It featured the likes of Will Smith, Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum, Randy Quaid and many more. This epic movie plot has aliens come to invade and destroy Earth. Mankind faced with fighting superior technology endures mass destruction. However, mankind’s best weapon is the will to survive thus defeating the invading aliens. Mankind defeats the aliens and strengthens their defenses using technology salvaged from remains of the alien forces.

What humans didn’t know is that aliens were able to send a distress signal before their defeat, which results in their return.

Now twenty years later, Independence Day has a sequel – Independence Day: Resurgence. From what we get to see from this first trailer, the alien threat is back, it’s bigger, greater and more deadly than ever before.

Pullman and Goldblum will reprise their roles and Roland Emmerich has returned to the director’s chair. From this first trailer it looks like this sequel will be worth watching.
