It has a rich Mughal heritage that is reflected in its world-renowned monuments. Agra is the perfect destination for tourists who want to relive the history in its finest form.

The best way to visit Agra from Delhi is by hiring a cab. A trip to Agra can be completed within a day but if you want to stay for longer, there are many tourist-friendly hotels in the city.

Early Morning Travel by Cab (5 AM to 9 AM)

Start your journey early in the morning, preferably at dusk (5 AM) to avoid the peak hour traffic of Delhi. It is best to instruct the driver to take the 6-lane Taj Expressway for a convenient travelling experience. You will encounter a few toll gates en route but you will also avoid the heavy traffic that is common on other highways. There are many eateries on the way from where you can have your breakfast. It will take you around 4-5 hours to reach Agra, but if you avoid pit stops you can reach there within 4 hours.
