Spice Your Up Swimming Pool For The Next Summer With These 4 Tips

Many of us dream about the perfect pool scenario. We envision ourselves diving into refreshing, clean water on a hot summer day. However, reality doesn’t always meet our expectations. If your pool is looking a little lacklustre, don’t despair! With a few simple tweaks, you can turn it into the ultimate oasis. Here are 4 tips to spice up your swimming pool for the next summer:

1. Add Some Colour

One way to add personality to your pool is by incorporating colour.

One way is to use coloured pool lights. These can be placed either in the water or around the perimeter of the pool. At night, your pool will be transformed into an incredible spectacle with colourful LED lights.

Another option is to use coloured pool tiles. These can be used to create patterns or accents in the pool. “In addition, they also reflect light, making it easier to see the bottom of the pool”, points out All Image Architects

Finally, you can also use paint to add a splash of colour to the sides or bottom of the pool.

2. Install a Waterfall or Fountain

Another way to add interest to your pool is by installing a waterfall or fountain. Not only will this provide a relaxing and serene atmosphere, but it will also be visually appealing. This can take your pool from dull to stunning in no time.

“As a side note, fountains can also help increase the resale value of your home”, explains interior designer Gary Hamer. Potential buyers are always impressed by homes with beautiful pools, and a fountain is a great way to take your pool up a notch. If you’re thinking about selling your home in the future, adding a fountain is definitely a wise investment.

3. Add Some greenery

“If you really want to give your pool area a makeover, consider adding some greenery”, says pool constructionists from Sydney. This can help create a more tropical and inviting atmosphere, and it can also help keep your pool area cooler in the summer months.

  • Palm trees or other tall, leafy trees around the perimeter of your pool. This will provide shade and privacy, and it will also give the illusion that your pool is surrounded by a lush oasis.
  • Potted plants or hanging baskets filled with tropical flowers around the edge of the pool. This will brighten up the space and add a pop of colour.
  • Likewise, potted plants or hanging baskets filled with fragrant flowers near the entrance to your pool area. This will create a lovely scent that will welcome guests as they enter.

4. Create a Pool Deck Oasis

One final way to spice up your pool is by creating a pool deck oasis.

First, you’ll need to select the perfect location for your pool deck. It should be large enough to accommodate all of the furniture and accessories you want to include, but not so large that it feels overwhelming. Once you’ve found the perfect spot, you’ll need to excavate and level the area before beginning construction.

Then you can add comfortable furniture, string lights, and even an outdoor kitchen.

This will allow you to enjoy your pool to the fullest and create lasting memories with family and friends.

No matter what methods you choose to spice up your pool, the important thing is that you have fun doing it. These are just a few ideas to get you started.

So go out there and make your pool the envy of the neighbourhood!
