1. Giro Osteria

On 31 McDonald St, right by the beach, you’ll find Giro Osteria. Giro Osteria serves a wide range of authentic Italian and Mediterranean food, including duck ragu, gnocchi, meatballs, and much more. They have friendly staff and generous portion sizes that are sure to leave you feeling comfortably full.

Giro Osteria is open for supper from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. all week, as well as lunch from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. from Thursday to Sunday. Remember to order a side of garlic bread and a round of drinks!

2. Albi’s Taverna

Albi’s Taverna on 1-2/1 Ocean Grove Ave also offers a wide selection of incredible Italian and Mediterranean food. Though relatively new, this restaurant, founded by head chef Albi Cuni, has quickly made a name for itself in Cronulla. It’s known for its authentic and flavourful dishes, including lamb shoulder, calamari, squid, and gnocchi. It’s beautiful and rustic ambience is unlike any other restaurant in the area.

Albi’s is open Friday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. (9 p.m. on Sunday) and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. from Tuesday to Thursday.

3. Alphabet St.

Alphabet St. offers authentic Thai cuisine from their modern restaurant, located on 5/8 on The Kingsway. Their wide selection of dishes includes grilled fish, pork belly, dumplings, and several vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. They also have a banquet option if you’re dining with a large group.

Alphabet St. is a major hit, so be sure to book your table in advance. They’re closed on Monday but are open 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. every other day of the week (9 p.m. on Sunday). They also serve lunch from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. from Friday to Sunday.

4. Summer Salt

Summer Salt is a seafood restaurant on 66 Mitchell Rd. Their menu is on the pricier side, but it’s for good reason. Their elegant dishes are served in an intimate environment with a beautiful view of the coast. With their world-class wines and flavourful seafood, which includes prawns, snapper, scallops, and more, it’s a great spot for a romantic dinner or a relaxing lunch with friends.

Open now for over 30 years, Summer Salt is a lovely place to stop when driving through Cronulla. They’re closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but are open every other day for lunch and supper.

5. Sealevel Restaurant

Sealevel Restaurant is one of NSW’s best seafood restaurants. Located on 2 Kingsway, this restaurant has a gorgeous view of the beach, a kind staff, and an atmosphere that’s sophisticated without being pretentious. Like Summer Salt, their dishes are a bit pricey, but they’re delicious and beautifully presented. This includes their kingfish sashimi, lamb, seafood platter, and much more.
Owned and operated by the Allouche family, Sealevel Restaurant is open every day from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., as well as 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for breakfast on weekends.
