4 Aesthetic Trends On the Rise

With every new year, we are more and more interested in perfecting our bodies. But the focus shifts on different body parts with every new season. This isn’t to say that you need to get something done every year. However, if you have any plans, it’s good to be informed of the trends so that you know when you’ll have most options. Last year, everything started getting a bit too big. We seem to be dialling back this year and embracing a more natural look. So what are these aesthetic trends that have been on the rise? Let’s looks at the 4 aesthetic trends on the rise this year.

1. Hair transplant

Let’s start with one that isn’t talked about that often. The target group, unlike for most of the procedures, are men. Hair transplants have been around for quite a few years now. Since the technology wasn’t advanced enough at the beginning and there have been a lot of bad results. People have even resorted to tattooing the tops of their heads, similar to microblading that women do for their eyebrows. Technology today has reached a whole new level. FUE hair transplant, the most popular and common procedure, has fewer side effects than ever and minimal recovery time. Men, however, shouldn’t jump into this procedure without understanding what the procedure entails. As it is an invasive procedure it can be dangerous and still carries some risk.

2. The perfect smile

Since the dawn of time, a smile has had a special meaning. Nowadays, a smile is one of the most important accessories for any person. Celebrities around the globe including Australia, have been investing in their teeth to make sure they are sparkling and shining. If you want to have perfect teeth, you have to first figure out what procedure is best for you. Before you make any decisions, you should always consult your dentist. Some people might just want their teeth whitened a bit, but some might want more serious reconstruction. Remember that technology keeps evolving and that procedures that were impossible before are now done routinely. For example, if you consult a trustworthy dentist and you require a full set of dentures but you weren’t a good candidate before. there is now a method called all on 4 dental implants, which allows a lot of people who were previously ineligible to have a perfect set of teeth. If however, you want to fix up the shape of your teeth, something like porcelain veneers might be a good option for you. With a beautiful smile, you will also feel more confident and see positive changes in your social life.

3. Coolsculpting

There is a reason why coolsculpting remains the most popular fat-removal method year after year. It’s the only highly-efficient method of its kind that is completely non-invasive. Coolsculpting was discovered when a doctor observed kids get dimples in their cheeks after sucking on ice lollies. The extreme cold destroys the fat cells that are just underneath the skin. The con of this method is that it only destroys the fat that is in the very top layers, unlike liposuction which can extract large quantities of fat giving more drastic results. However, this means that coolsculpting can be safely used on areas that are usually too small for liposuction, like the cheeks, chin or the belly pouch. It can take up to three months before you start seeing results, and you’ll have to have more than one session, but it is still a lot safer than the invasive options.

4. Breast Enhancement

Women wanting bigger breasts has been a topic for decades. There have been times when this was done by dangerous methods and taken to extreme lengths. This year, however, we’re looking more towards the natural. That is the theme of all aesthetic procedures this year – a perfectly natural look. Breast-implant materials have changed over the years, and the so-called “gummy bear implants” are currently the most popular and highly recommended. They are made of a material that is safe,  gives a more natural look and feel than the silicone implants that have been used for a long time.

Along with these, smaller, regular procedures have also seen a rise. Including lip fillers, face fillers, thread lifts and a whole array of “micro-enhancing” procedures. All of these are to help create the perfect face that both looks natural and isn’t as permanently changed as it would be with other more invasive procedures. Remember to always consult a doctor before deciding on a procedure, and opt for the procedure that best fits your particular scenario.
