The latest fashion trend originating from China might be here to stay. If you were going to live in a country where there was a lot of pollution you would certainly appreciate smogs that were trendy, stylish and practical all at once.
Fashion house QIAODAN YIN PENG decided to incorporate these protective masks in a Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week fashion show. People everywhere are talking about the use of smog masks. Maybe this could be the start of trend. We will have to wait and see if this trend takes off.
Each of the masks showcased were customized to match the outfits worn by models gracing the runway. Have a look below at a few of the ones modeled.
Even though at first glance these models wearing the smog masks look silly, odd and resemble a Sci-Fi movie, this look could in the near future become fashionable and practical in places like Beijing where pollution is very high.
